COVID GUIDANCE - Help with Telehealth

During the COVID outbreak in rural and remote NSW, its really important that you keep seeing your doctor if you have a chronic disease like diabetes, heart problems or breathing problems.

It is also really important that you talk to your doctor if you are feeling unwell.

To make this easier, the government is letting you talk to your doctor on the phone, or via video in some cases, to reduce the need to come into town.

This means you can still talk to your doctor, but you don’t have the risk of catching COVID by coming into a large town.

We know that this is sometimes hard for patients who are using pay-as-you-go phones.

To help you out RARMS HEALTH has created a freecall 1800 number for our rural and remote patients to call their GP.

All you have to do is to ring the number below and then listen to the message. Use your phone to put in the number of the practice you normally attend and you will be put through for free.

RARMS HEALTH is subsidising this service to help our patients, so only use it if you really cannot afford to use the normal telephone number for the practice.

The most important thing is that you continue to talk to your doctor to help you to stay healthy during the COVID outbreak.
